A perfect top for the summer. This pattern worked so well in light and flowy fabrics. I love the way it gives a relaxed feel whilst still offering some shaping in the waist. I like that it included instructions on sewing up French seams which give it a sophisticated and profession feel.
I sewed three of these in different woven fabrics and weights. Each top is different and beautiful. A quick and timeless sew with easy to do French seams that you will enjoy wearing for years. So comfortable and looks great with a skirt, leggings or jeans!
This Cascade top has slotted into my wardrobe so neatly. We are currently in a hot February climate and I’m pairing with my Meadow skirts, and looking forward to pairing with jeans and trousers for cooler months. It’s dressier than a Tshirt and is really comfortable to wear.
As you would expect with a T+T pattern, the instructions are easy to follow, detailed and have colour photographs; and projector file is very user friendly.
I used rayon for mine- extra clips and slow sewing are my top tips for this fabric, plus I used cotton fabric for the neck binding. I’m very happy with the outcome and I’ve found a sheet to upcycle for my next one.
I had doubts if this top would suit me but it is simply perfect. I love how its character changes according to the fabric chosen and that it can be worn with trousers or skirts.
Just 4 main pattern pieces it is a quick make and as always the isstructions are clear and easy to follow.
