A good sunhat is essential gear for families who love to spend their days outside. To meet this need, we have created the Sunny Hat, a simple sunhat with a generous brim that provides great coverage and protection from the sun, in a wide range of sizes from preemie baby to adult large.
The Sunny Hat is quick and easy to make, so you can whip up a sunhat when needed (children's heads are always growing, and hats have a tendency to wander). It is beautifully finished and lined, making it fully reversible for two hats in one.
The unique panelled design of the hat means that it can be made with small cuts of fabric, making it a perfect scrap buster. Sew it in lightweight cotton or linen for a lightweight, breathable summer hat.
The design of the hat lends itself so well to a petal shape that we couldn't resist creating the Sunny Hat Flower Add-On. With a scalloped edge and graceful shape, the flower hat has all of the sun-shielding practicality of the Sunny Hat, with a bit of extra charm and whimsy.
