Scarf Collection Knitting Patterns - Doll
A collection of 3 delightful scarves - the Seed Scarf, Moss Scarf and Pāua Scarf, each named after their stitch.
- A simple seed stitch scarf with a very cosy texture.
- A snuggly moss stitch scarf with a pleasing tactile texture.
- A faux-cable lace knit evokes the shape of pāua, Māori name for four species of abalone and sea snails native to Aotearoa (New Zealand).
You will receive a clear, detailed tutorial for all 3 of the scarves.

Make old things new again! Twig + Tale knitting patterns pair wonderfully with upcycled yarns. The Scarf Collection uses very little yarn so look to reclaimed fibres, thrift finds, and hand spuns for inspiration.
Supplies
Yarn:
The Seed Scarf is designed to work with 26 yards (24m), the Moss Scarf with 29 yards (27m) and the P āua Scarf with 38 yards (35m) of Burnt Hill Yarns Vespers 8ply.
Vespers 8ply is a smooth, plied 100% merino, grown and made in the South Island of New Zealand. It has a a WPI of 11 and a commercially worsted spun grist of 1052ypp. 116yards (106m) 50g.
Needles:
US6/4mm Straight or Circular needles
(or size needed to obtain gauge)
Optional: US G-6/UK 8/4mm Crochet hook
(or size needed to obtain gauge)
Notions:
Yarn or tapestry needle
Optional: lockable stitch marker

Items made from Classic Cloth Dolls + their clothes sewing and knitting patterns are not suitable for children under the age of three.
These dolls are special and are not meant to be played with by unsupervised babies or small children who might swallow the small pieces of their wardrobes, or chew off an ear or limb.
The limbs may be attached with string which if came loose could pose a choking hazard.
The outfits for these dolls may also contain small parts such as shoes which could pose a choking hazard.
Adult supervision is always recommended and you should routinely check the items you have made for loose threads or signs of damage that could cause harm.
