Note that the Tui Pocket Pack pattern pieces and tutorials are for the pockets only. You will need base garment patterns to add the pockets onto.

      Size Chart

The pattern includes six pocket sizes from child to adult:

      Adult S (Women's/Curved Fit A-F, Men's/Straight Fit 30-38)

      Supplies

      Suggested Fabrics:
Exterior: Medium to heavy weight woven fabric with structure and no/little stretch: eg. wool coating, twill, denim, velvet, canvas, soft shell, oilcloth.
Lining: Lightweight woven fabrics with no stretch: Tencel, Bemberg, suit lining, satin, sateen, silk cotton, viscose rayon. Fuzzy, thick linings such as minky or sherpa are not recommended.

      Fabric Requirements:
Scraps! If you are sewing a garment and switching out the pockets, it is likely that no additional fabric will be needed.

If purchasing contrast fabric, up to 12" (30cm) of both exterior and lining.

      Supplies + Notions:

      • Spool of coordinating thread
      • Buttons or snaps for pockets with flaps - optional
      • Zipper for zippered pocket

Make old things new again! Twig & Tale patterns pair wonderfully with recycled fabrics. Look to gently-used denim, corduroy or wool pants. Cotton and linen shirts make lovely pocket linings, and buttons and trim can be repurposed too.

This is a print-at-home PDF pattern and includes three printing options:

      1. US Letter/A4 - tiled and designed to print on your home printer
      2. Copyshop - A0 wide-format file  (33.1″ x 46.8″)
      3. Projector - specially-formatted and optimized for home projector use.   Read more about using our projector files here

All pattern printing formats include “layers”, allowing you to print only the size(s) you need, or all of the sizes.

      Lovely addition to any pattern

I already used the sunset pocket and it's lovely! I'm already planning a few other projects to use different pockets on.

      Entertaining curved styles

I am pleased with both pocket packs, as they are the only curved patch pocket patterns I have found, and I am not a person for tailored angular shapes !

      Great Pattern

This is one of the best patterns I ever bought (except for pocket pack 1). Detailed instructions, easy to make and every size you want. Endless possibilities, I love it.

      versatile and creativity-inspiring

If you've ever wanted to carry something with you, this pattern is for you! The possibilities are endless for adding pockets to garments, toys, bags or transforming a pocket into something entirely new. As always T&T patterns are beautifully written, clear and methodical, illustrated with images and even video tutorials to accommodate all learning styles. I have a feeling this pattern will become a mainstay since its uses are limited only by your imagination.

      Endless possibilities and inspiration

I used the cottage pockets for a wall hanging to create a little storage pocket, that doubles as a play scene. The projector file was easy to use, and made picking special wrap scraps easier as I could see exactly what size I needed. I’m using some of the other pockets on a Pixie coat and I like having the measurements done for me, which means I can enjoy creating.

      My favourite pattern(s)

This might be my favourite pattern yet. It ticks ALL the boxes. Functional, versatile, adaptable, and - as always with Twig + Tale patterns - beautifully written. These have sparked so much creativity in my family. We are loving them as actual pockets, but also as (so far) storage for toys, a glasses case, hair clips, a whatever-the-3yo-imagines, and as future hair accessory storage, bag compartments, and a crayon holder/ busy book. There are SO many ways to use these pockets and I am loving them all!

      Sunset Pocket

This pocket collection is super fun, but for me, the Sunset Pocket was the one that NEEDED to be made first! I used scraps from previous projects, and it was a great way to repurpose excess supplies while making something entirely new and fun. The instructions were easy to follow, and my pocket came together quickly. I have more projects with fun pockets planned, and this pocket collection is my new go-to for adding fun and flair to projects.

      So Inspiring

I do love a picket- beautiful ones and useful ones, and this new pack of add ons ticks both boxes.
Using these brings a new twist to existing patterns and they can be also used in novel ways.
The only problem is having 11 to choose from- it is going to take me a while to make all of these!
Planning projects has now become more exciting with these new pockets to use.
