This sweet, simple little dress has stolen our hearts. Featuring an easy a-line shape and pretty rounded petal-shaped panels that cross over at the front and fasten at the sides.
A truly versatile piece that can be made dress or tunic length, the Petal Wrap Dress is also fully reversible, offering two looks in one. Sew it in lightweight linen or cotton for summer, or cosy wool or corduroy for winter.
UPDATE: There is now an Expansion Pack available to purchase with sizes 5-10yrs so our older children can have a Petal too!

Patterns include a nifty “layers” feature, allowing you to print only the size(s) you need, or all of the sizes. Full step-by-step printing instructions are supplied.
This pattern also includes an additional wide format file that can be taken to a local copy shop and printed on single sheets of A0 paper.

I’m learning how to make clothes for my baby as I’m due soon.
This was my first pattern for a baby and I decided to start with 6-9 month size.
I wanted to see how easy it was and then try some smaller sizes and some more complex patterns.
I knew it looked simple but I didn’t realise how simple it was. And so cute!!
I love the flexibility of the pattern and that it can be reversible.
I’ve already made 2 at size 6-9 months and started on a 3-6month size.
I made this my for my great granddaughter and it was a great success. It fitted perfectly and looked gorgeous. I found the instructions excellent. I am so glad I added the sleeves and pocket and lined the dress with fabric I had made her aunt’s shortie PJs from. Thank you!
I bought this pattern as my daughter has outgrown the free version. Since its her favourite dress I had to get the bigger sizes. It sews up pretty easy and fast but doesn't look that way when finished, so that's perfect. It's also a dress that works great for active children as it doesn't hinder movement and doesn't get caught easy while climbing and cycling. The perfect pattern for my very active toddler. And when it gets dirty you just turn it around after lunch and you've got a clean dress to start the afternoon.
Love this pattern;very beginner friendly and you get 2 dresses because it is easily reversible. One side can be made with wool(especially in the winter and the other side can be a soft cotton fabric. Works perfect.
The fit in this pattern was fine, and even adjustable by moving the button placement. I wanted to add a sleeve ruffle and was disappointed that it wasn’t included in the pattern, as so many of the pictures showed the dress with the ruffle. I searched the site for the ruffle pattern and couldn’t find it so I drew my own, and after the second attempt had one I liked. Also, for a summer dress the full lining makes four full layers of fabric across the little one’s front—too much for our hot summers. I ended up cutting the lining just under the armholes and hemming the two front pieces instead. The finished garment is cute.

I loved making this dress/smock. So versatile, easy to follow instructions but I also watched the video. My biggest problem was understanding layered printing but that makes sense now. I will be making more Nora has already picked out the fabrics from my stash.... petal dress had buttons but have tried snaps this time
I adore this little dress. Easy to make. I watched the tutorial to guide me and found it really helpful to compliment the instructions. I can't wait to send it to my grand daughter and see her wearing it. I will definitely make more of these little beauties. I also made a crown and nappy cover to compliment the dress.
Loved making this and the petal dress for my granddaughter. It was quite simple to make, easy to embellish, and turned out so cute.
