Love it

After a spur of the moment hot water bottle purchase by my husband to keep the kids warm on morning wagon rides to preschool, we needed covers. Conveniently I remembered that Twig+Tale created a collection of animal cover patterns. I made a penguin as a test. It was a hit. Next up a fox was requested, an instant classic.

This pattern is excellent and perfect for any beginner. The base offers a great foundation for anyone looking to create their own cozy animal cover. Once again a 10/10 from me for Twig+Tale

Obsessed

This was the most enjoyable 1 day project I've done in a while. I showed all the patterns to my son and asked which one he liked most. He requested an orca whale🙄 "there is no orca babe" , "but you can sew anything mom" 😍 challenge accepted 🤣 so I hacked the regular whale a bit. I cut down the belly and changed the shape a little, added the extra white markings and the dorsal fin. Viola we have an orca. I used wool fleece from an old jacket and the white is from an old cotton sweater. Hand sewn and hand embroidered/ applique.
The instructions are amazing aa usual and I think some friends kids will be getting some extra (but late) Christmas presents this year because I want to make more. So fun.

Happy sewing

I used these designs as applique on clothes, rather then hot water bottles.. changed the scales a little, so it fits nicely on a children's scenic.
I recommend this ebook very very much.. tons of fun!

Loved by granddaughters

My youngest granddaughter asked for a hottie and hottie cover so I made her the kitten one then another one picked the fawn then another didn't choose so made her the owl which she loves and I think it's the best one I've made too. Will have to find photos of the others

Wildly good hottie covers

Absolutely love all of these hottie covers even though I’m not sure some of my UK friends would even know what a manatee was. Made the penguin to start with. They are very easy to make, I didn’t even need to refer to the instructions during construction and they look great when made.
