Digital Pattern + Video Class Scout Shorts + Pants Sewing Pattern - Child

This is a great pattern for perfectly finished shorts. I love all the length options to create different looks. I particularly like the separate waistband, I think it looks much smarter than a folded down version. The detailed instructions make this pattern suitable for beginners as well as more experienced sewists.

Another fun T&T pattern. Can’t wait to try all the variations and test out different fabrics. This time I went with above the knee in a mid weight linen. Currently on the look out for Fabric to repurpose for my next one. Have a feeling daughter is going to be wearing these a lot.

This pattern is so easy to make. (It is akin to the ladies Coastal Cuff shorts, which I have made many of) Very quick to come together. Bub loves them, so his summer wardrobe will consist of many Scout shorts.

With trademark easy to follow instructions, this pattern was really fun and quick to make. My daughter wanted a pair of long cargo shorts, which were really difficult to find for sale, so I added a box pocket from the fishervest trailblazer add-on. She wears them all the time, asking for another pair. Thank you!

Perfect woven pants/shorts. I skipped the pockets to try out the fit on my first pair but they are perfect so I plan to make many more. I love the below-the knee length for summer.

This pattern was for my 9-year-old to make for the county fair this year. It was very straightforward and simple and with my assistance he was able to make these. I really liked the external pocket, and I felt it was easier for him to sew together also. We will definitely be using this pattern again.

The Coastal Shorts are the most comfy shorts I have ever worn. Made in linen/viscose blend. Sized down 2 sizes and added 3” to the leg. My waist is small for hips so I’m still a bit unsure about the amount of fabric gathered at the waist. But I’ve lived in these since I made them. Made several pairs of Scout Shorts for our granddaughter too. She regularly picks them out to wear. Definitely recommend.

I’ve tried so many different patterns for shorts & pants that would go over my son’s cloth bum and none have worked without a LOT of modifications. This pattern just works. They look great on and the instructions and support for measuring etc are excellent. I’ve made 3 pairs now and will be making more for our trip around Europe.

I love the fit of these. They're roomy enough to play and explore in, but not too wide. The pockets are the perfect size for collecting treasures. They came together quickly and easily with the help of great instructions.
