Description

A collection of eleven unique patch pockets to add extra style and function to your garments.

With plenty of options for practical and playful pockets, mix, match and experiment with different combinations.

Named after the Kea, a cheeky New Zealand alpine parrot, known for its intelligence and curiosity, which often leads them to "collect" small items from humans (in one famous case, a tourist's passport!).

Since every good collector needs a place to stash their treasure, the name seemed a perfect fit for our pocket pack. We hope the Kea would approve.

Compatibility:  Use them anywhere you'd like to add a patch pocket. Change up the look of coats, vests, tops, pants, skirts, bags... the possibilities are endless!

      Skill Level: Beginner to intermediate

Tutorial: Comprehensive written and photographed instructions are included for all pocket types. A bonus video is included for the Zippered Pocket (the most technical pocket construction).

      Awesome pockets

I used these pockets for the dresses I made for Project Dress A Girl. The patterns and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

How a pocket can change a look

I love this pocket pack as with a simple pocket you can make a garment change the style and make it even more individual for the person you make it for. My son wanted a cargo shorts, so I let him pick out a pocket from this selection. My husband also wants a cargo short, and he choose a different pocket from this selection. They will now have the same short, of the same fabric, but due to the different pockets, it shows their own style, own look.

Useful for pockets and other ideas

Thank you for creating patterns just for pockets. Women's clothing is still being designed without useful pockets, but this allows me to add they style I would want to garments I am making.

      Enhanced possibilities

I’m currently making a raincoat (using the Pixie Coat using softshell). I’ve added the flap pockets to the exterior and have made up a zip to add to the lining. They both have lovely crisp finishes and I’m so glad that I have these to ensure my garment reaches the vision that I have.

The projector file was fantastic and the additional video tutorial for the zip pocket very helpful.

I’ll add photos to the Facebook page once I’m finished sewing my raincoat.

I do love a pocket or two!

This new add on is such fun, Iam looking forward to having a wide choice of pocket styles to choose from on future makes.
To start with I made the scalloped pocket and placed it on the zippered pouch from the ebook.
Instructions easy to follow and the resulting pocket a delight.
