Chapeau Fedora

Fedora and matching jacket

An absolutely fun and adorable pattern. Great instructions and complimenting video made it easy. I made a fedora and matching jacket for grandson. I will definitely now work on hats and jackets for my granddaughters.

I enjoyed making the Fedora as a birthday gift for my dad. The instructions and especially the video were excellent. I wasn’t impressed with myself at first as I didn’t think I could get the shape right but with steam and patience, it turned out fine. Hopefully, dad will be impressed!

Fantastic Fedora

Love this look for myself but made first one for my Grandie as a trial run. Excellent instructions. I was really hesitant and double checked everything but it turned out great, he loves it. Now to attempt one for myself..with more confidence.

Hatastic

I normally live hats more than they love me but with the Fedora that is all change, after making my first I have gone on to make 2 more.
The shape is pleasing and the two brim sizes and crown heights enable you to select the perfect look.
As always the instructions make this an easy to follow pattern and the video helped with the tricky parts. I found leaving a bigger turn hole helpful with the fabrics I chose and the wide brim
All who have seen my hats in action have been improved that they were homemade
I can't wait to make more

Perfect for everyday use

Perfect for everyday use and such and versatile pattern. I love that you have so many options for both brim and hight but also the decorations on the hats.

Love the diversity of this pattern. Combing narrow or wide brim, with classic or tall crown and your personal choice of fabric gives you a lot of different styles adjustable for the season. Currently making winter versions as X-mas presents, and then it will be time for the summer versions.
The instructions are clear, not to difficult to sew (as long as you take it slow) and I'm a fan of the video tutorial that comes with it.
I've used Vliesline S320 as interfacing

Such a great addition to TT patterns

Whether you're already a fan of Twig and Tale patterns or not, you're going to love sewing this Fedora hat! What I appreciate the most is the versatility of the pattern; wide brim or short, quilted or not... And depending on the type of fabric used, you end up with a winter or summer version... I was able to sew a hat for myself and for my children.

There is a sense of achievement and accomplishment in sewing this pattern- I’ve made my own structured hat. The tutorial is step by step, with clear coloured photographs and allowed me to enjoy making my Fedora. The projector file was clear, readable labels and thick lines and was easy to use.

Straightforward pattern with stunning results

I was a bit uncertain if I could achieve the beautiful finished product I was envisioning, but as always Twig and Tale came through with an easy to follow pattern and straightforward instructions to help me along the way. I will certainly be making many more of these in every size and try out all the brim and quilting versions! Thank you T+T!
